El Minuto de Dios is a non-profit organization registered in the state of Florida under chapter 501 ( c )( 3 ). Each year El Minuto de Dios Corporation celebrates in different cities of United States   the most important fund rasing event called EL Banquete del Millon and its pourpuse is to gather  donations to help the poorest people in Colombia .

"El Banquete del Millón" is an event that was created by the founder of the organization, Father Rafael Garcia-Herreros, more than 40 years ago,  The most luxurious and humblest dinner of the world , at El banquete del Millon, invitees are offered a slice of bread and a cup of broth as a symbol of difficult times. All proceeds will be used for projects that will help
families  that have been displaced by the violence in Colombia.

In this important event Colombians who live in United States will gather, and demonstrate that with a little generosity and commitment we can make Colombia better Today, El Minuto de Dios builds houses for the poor and provides hem with job training, education for the children, and a chance to work their way out of abject poverty. Each donation we have received has always been handled in an open and orderly way.

Since 2003 El Minuto de Dios has been hosting "El Banquete del Millón" in several cities, in order to help the more than 3 million people who have fled from rural and urban areas to safeguard their lives from confrontations between guerrillas and paramilitary forces.
