At EL MINUTO DE DIOS we are trying to guide our life, enlightened by ten lanterns of great intensity:

1.  LOVE

Love is the force that moves everything. Like Jesus wanted, love is for us the greatest commandment. We should love God and our brothers. Love people, even if they contradict and attack us. In a special way we should love the poor, the sick, the vulnerable and we should love Colombia , our country.

2.  PRAYER AND PROCLAMATION

Our main objective is to invoke Jesus Christ with the strength of the Holy Spirit. In order to achieve this, we need to understand the Word of God and we need to pray. In our work we always want to be accompanied and protected by God. We want to be men and women of faith.

3.  COMMITMENT

Although we could be without light, bread, and water, the poor will be amongst us. Not only as beautiful words but as a purpose of our search and promise. The poor are our priority: not only as a subject of reflection but as an example of hands that reach to us touch us with the hope that we help them.

4.  TO SERVE

Father García-Herreros said: “Should no one stay without serving”. We are ministers of complete development. We don't want to be apathetic, but active and enthusiastic constructors of a new country on the bases of justice, liberty and peace. Like Jesus Christ, we should be here to serve and not to be served. We should be craftsmen of the truth, in the basis of being unpretentious and humble.

5.  WORK

Work is neither a curse nor a punishment. It's the opportunity that God gives us to work together in his creation. For that reason we cannot restrict nor waste our time. We must put to good use what we know, what we have and what we are for the benefit of others.

6.  COLABORATE

We do not live alone in this world. We form part of a society and of a Church, however, we integrate into an organization where we are considered brothers and members of a great team. In addition, we need to bond with other entities that work towards similar objectives.

7.  TO GIVE

EL MINUTO DE DIOS has flourished because of the generous contributions of many friends and the efforts of our employees. However, what we have received is not for us, but to give to others. We want to be generous, we want to overcome greed and egocentrism. We want to give freely what we freely receive from God and from our benefactors.

8.  TO BE HONOURABLE

At EL MINUTO DE DIOS there is no room for corruption nor for the lack of consideration. It is impossible to forget the example of purity and generosity of our founder. We do not need richness nor extravagance. We are crystal channels that let pass what comes its way, without holding on, to what does not belong to us.

9.  CREATE

We are invited to create. To imagine new services for our country. We should create new ways, explore unfamiliar places. We should open doors, fix bridges and try free initiatives. We should investigate, knowing that there will always be different answers and distinct solutions. The Creator is our Father and our role model.

10.  TO BE JOYFUL

The enjoyment of a job well done, with the hope that a harvest aspires, with the illusion of the New World and a New Heaven that God enlightens in us. Greater is the joy of giving than receiving. Greatness is the peace that is committed to others with respect and politeness.
